"Brushed" is a description of the soft brushed finish on this sterling silver bangle. This is an alternative finish to the more typical high polish seen on many bangles.

This bangle has been hancrafted in our jewellery studio and weighs 23 grams.

The term "slave bangle" typically describes a wide heavy cuff. Examples of these bangles have been found in ancient history, including a gold bracelet found on a woman in Pompeii.

Used as articles of adornment and status symbols, these bangles have exsted long before the Atlantic Slave Trade. Sculpted Jewels uses the term "slave bangle" as a descriptor and in no way encourages or endorses any form of slavery.
