In opposition to each other, yet forming a perfectly balanced whole, the koi fish on this stunning 5oz silver coin represent yin yang in their mirrored movement and energy.

The coin portrays a yin yang symbol with black and polished teardrop-shaped halves, each featuring the image of a koi.

The interdependence of the fish is represented by the seed of its rival in the form of a black freshwater pearl on the head of the polished koi, and a white freshwater pearl on the head of the black koi. Also included in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
